Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Bolster (Burgess)

Betty Bolster of Naples, FL passed away Thursday, February 7, 2018. Betty was 88 years young and a long-time resident of Naples, FL. Born in Boston, MA, in 1929, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stanton L. Burgess of West Newton, MA, she was presented to society after graduating from Brimmer and May School in Boston. She graduated from Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg, PA. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Phillips E. Bolster of 31 years, and an infant son, Kenneth. She is survived by five sons, one daughter, thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother in Charlotte, NC. Betty was a former member of Sweet Adelines, loved music and played in the Bonita Village Band. She was a faithful volunteer of over 30 years at North Naples Hospital, where she amassed over 7000 hours of dedicated service in the ER. She was caring, generous and indispensable to the hospital staff. She was a long time “Booster” and supporter of athletes in Duxbury, MA. Surrounded by family at her passing, Betty will be missed by thousands privileged to have been touched by her generosity. As per her wish, her ashes will be sprinkled in the waters off her beloved beaches in the Gulf of Mexico.
