Benoit, Clifton C. (Cliffy/Chris), of Plymouth formerly of Chelsea, MA passed away Friday January 20, 2017 after a lengthy illness at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Clifton Asa and Doris (Trainor) Benoit of Chelsea.
Clifton is survived by his two daughters, Christine LePage of Laconia, NH and Priscilla Nardone of Plymouth, MA. He was the Loving Papa of Nicholas 18, Jacob 17, Jared 13, Mariangela 11 and Jade 7. He is also survived by two sisters, Jane Rucker and her husband David of Lynn, MA and Joan Bedford of Frederick, MD. Clifton also leaves behind 3 nieces, 2 great nephews and 3 great nieces, as well as long-time friend Michele (Mickey) Hayes.
Clifton was born in South Weymouth, MA and graduated from Chelsea HS in 1967. He worked for many years as a truck driver and mechanic. He also had a fondness for the Oceanographic Institute of Woods Hole where he worked on the Alvin Lulu under the direction of Dr. Ballard. He was an avid Patriots fan and had season tickets for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle and taking trips with his friends. Clifton had a very dry sense of humor and loved to tell corny jokes.
