Obituary for Alain Dominique Vulliet

Alain “Al” Dominique Vulliet (80) passed away on September 8, 2022,
at his beloved Wellfleet beach house on the bay.
Al was born on April 19, 1942, in Hyannis, Massachusetts, the son of
the late Andre’ and Agneta (Fischer) Vulliet.

Al is survived by his wife, Pamela Lord-Vulliet, his sister Agneta
(Peppy) Vulliet of Wellfleet, MA; his three daughters, A. Suzanne
(Vulliet) Beauchamp of Worcester, MA, Allison Vulliet of Fort Myers,
FL and Angela Vulliet-Catinazzo and son-in-law, Robert Catinazzo, of
Glastonbury, CT; and his three stepsons, Cory Cepelak, Christopher
Lord and William Lord. He leaves nine grandchildren: Andre’
Beauchamp, Alexander, Beauchamp, Anton Beauchamp, Ashley
Beauchamp, Mitchell, Paschke, Nicole Paschke, Samantha Lord,
Meghan Green, and Christopher Lord, and three great-grandchildren,
Anton Beauchamp, Jr., Kaliyah Beauchamp, and Stella Green.

Al served his country in the United States Navy as a young man and
then attended UMASS Stockbridge School of Agriculture. He followed
his passion for dairy farming for many years in Massachusetts and
Connecticut, and thereafter was employed by Eco Lab; retiring in 2007.
Al had many interests, but nothing more important than his family. He
had a zest for life and infinite love for Wellfleet oysters, which was
lovingly shared by his entire family.

Days spent at the family beach house with “Papa”, as he was
affectionately called by his grandchildren, were filled with love and
laughter. “Papa” loved cooking French crepes by the dozens for his
family on Sunday mornings; and the traditional evening sunset toasts of
"Bonsoir Soleil” (goodnight sun) from the porch of his home on
Wellfleet Bay, a family tradition that will continue in his memory.

In addition to his family, Al leaves behind so many dear friends and his
beloved cat, Pepper.

His celebration of life will be with immediate family only.
