O’Connell, Alfred K. “Kerry”, 55, passed away on January 22, 2023. Kerry was born in Weymouth to the late Shirley M. (Wagstaff) and Alfred J. O’Connell. He grew up in Hanson and attended South Shore Vocational Technical High School. Upon his completion of high school, he enlisted as a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, serving from 1985 to 1989. Kerry continued his Coast Guard career as the Scituate Assistant Harbormaster and worked for Boston Pilots, Captain John Boats, The Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, and the Army Corps of Engineers. Kerry enjoyed being on the water, riding his motorcycle “Blue”, trips to Sturgis and Nova Scotia, flying planes and spending time with his family and friends.
 
Beloved fiancé of Jennifer Lewis of Plymouth. Loving uncle of Ashley (O’Connell) Morales and her husband Luis and their children Aurora and Orion.
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to honor Kerry at a Celebration of Life at the Gainsborough Hall at Plimouth Patuxet, 137 Warren Ave, Plymouth, MA, 11 AM – 3 PM on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
