Obituary for Allan Gerald Bagni
Allan, G Bagni, 93, husband of Audrey J Bagni, passed away on September 15, 2023.
Allan was the son of the late Alice and Feriano Bagni. He was born and raised in Plymouth, graduating from Plymouth high school in 1949. He was a graduate of Mass Maritime Academy in 1952. He served several years in the Merchant Marines with Texaco Oil Company. He then was a lieutenant in the US Navy, serving aboard, the destroyer USS Perry DD844. He worked for General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and Pittsfield, MA. He then was employed with Northrop Corporation in Norwood, MA for 32 years, where he was manager of technical services. He retired to Plymouth, MA in 1990 where he served as a town meeting member.
Allan was a former member of Foxborough Country Club, Old Colony Yacht Club, Plymouth Country Club, and a current member of Saint Marys Parish.
Allan is survived by his wife, Audrey, his three children, Michael and his wife, Bernadette Bagni of Taunton, Joyce Bagni of Plymouth, and Gerald and his wife, Donna Bagni of Pembroke. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Adam, Andrew, and Anthony Bagni, Pia Donnelly, Tracy Mann, and Aria Capone. He also leaves behind nine great grandchildren and his brother, Chester Bagni. He was also brother to the late Anna Giammarco.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court St., Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 19, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Marys Parish, 313 Court St. on September 19 at 10 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Saint Joseph’s cemetery in Plymouth.
