Obituary for Amy W Brooks (Ryder)
Amy W. Brooks (Ryder) 66, of West Dennis, M.A. and of Harwich, M.A. passed away October 8, 2023 peacefully at home.
Amy was born on February 27, 1957 in Barnstable County, M.A. to the late William S. Ryder and Helen Ryder. Amy spent a couple of years being a Rough Rider student of Harwich Jr. Sr. High school before becoming a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memories include her three daughters, Stephanie (Steve) McCarthy of Yarmouth, Gretchen Miller of Bourne, Skye Brooks of Santa Fe, T.N., one son Gabriel Miller of West Dennis, also two sisters, Pauline Wilson of Dennis, Shirley and Jeep Mashoke of Dennis. Four grandsons, Joseph Feliciano, Daniel Feliciano, Isaac Miller, Asher Miller, many nieces and friends that were considered family.
Amy was known to be loving, giving and free spirited. Her favorite times always included walking on the beach, playing cards or scrabble and listening to music, but most of all she loved and was so proud of her children.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Congregational Church Parish House, Main Street Harwich Center on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 3pm-5pm.
