Obituary for Anne Marie Carafoli (Carafoli)
Anne Marie Carafoli "Anna Banana" age 65 of Plymouth, MA passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 12, 2023 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
Anne was born and raised in Plymouth and spent most of her life down at Cherry's bait shop located on the Plymouth Waterfront when it was established in 1963, by her predeceased parents Elteiro "Cherry" Carafoli & Mary Carafoli. When her sister Maureen Daly passed away, Anne became the sole proprietor of the business and continued the legacy of "slinging those worms". Until recent, Jessica Carafoli Kirk , the daughter of the late Paul Carafoli, stepped in to keep the business alive, to continue "slinging the worms" and keeping Cherry's bait shop in the Carafoli family.
Anne loved to paint sing and dance. You always knew the bait shop was hopping if you saw Anne out front dancing and singing.
Anne leaves her daughter Ryanne Borgatti of Plymouth, son Matthew Borgatti of Plymouth, one grandson, Kaleb Borgatti, along with several cousins and friends.
Anne was born on August 30, 1957 to the late Eltiero "Cherry" Carafoli and Mary Carafoli. She was predeceased by her siblings, Paul Carafoli, Maureen Daly, Sandy Sharp and Cheryl Lindsay.
She leaves the father of her two children, Wayne Borgatti. and is now at peace in heaven with her best friend Linda Morgado.
Arrangements are under the care of Bartlett Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 4pm-6pm at the Funeral Home, located at 338 Court St, Plymouth MA 02360.
