Obituary for Anneliese Brunner (Brunner)
Anneliese Brunner, loving mother of three children, passed away at the age of 79 on September 8, 2019.
Anneliese was born on May 16, 1940 in Dinslaken, Germany. She came to the United States in 1961 and became a naturalized US citizen in 1973. Anneliese enjoyed traveling, including visiting relatives in Germany, her son in Hawaii and daughter in Vermont. She loved listening to music and watching movies, especially The Sound of Music which made her nostalgic for her homeland. Spending time at the beaches and taking the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard was always something she loved to do, too! Anneliese took pride in her profession as a hair stylist. She enjoyed keeping up on the latest styles and fashions for her customers, as well as herself. In the later years, she became a Certified Nurse’s Aide and dedicated herself to caring for the elderly.
Anneliese was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Horne. She is survived by her two sons; Peter Horne of Falmouth, MA, Joseph Horne of Greer, SC and her daughter Veronika Barry of Johnson, VT and two grandchildren.
A private service for the immediate family will be held at a future date.
