Obituary for Annie Govoni (Boccaci)
Annie Boccaci Govoni, of Plymouth, passed away on August 31, 2022 at Harborside Nursing Home. She was born in North Plymouth, the daughter of the late Natalie and Marina (Paterlini) Boccaci. Annie lived in North Plymouth for 97 years and then moved to Harborside Nursing Home for her remaining 12 years.
Annie loved to go play whist with her dear friend Thelma and bingo at the nursing home. She worked as a waitress for 21 years at the Hobshole Inn in Plymouth. She was a wonderful cook and you never left her house empty handed. She was a very giving person.
Annie leaves behind her two children Russell Govoni and his wife, Lynn and Lynda Govoni Beane. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guido Govoni, who was a lobsterman and a carpenter, as well as her siblings; Nellie Scaglarini and Raymond Boccaci.
There will be a mass of intention for Annie at St. Mary's Church, 313 Court Street, Plymouth, MA, on Sunday, October 2nd at 10:30 am.
