Brad Ashton, 81, of West Yarmouth passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 23rd, with his husband of 39 years, Bruce Skoglund by his side. He was born and raised in New Bedford, MA by the late Everett and Dorothy Ashton. He is predeceased by his sister, Gail Talmadge.

Brad retired from a 45-year Retail Management Career with Stop and Shop. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and most especially his passion for sports. Red Sox and Patriots were his favorites. In his early years he managed the Panther Club Basketball League.

Brad was deeply loved by all that were fortunate to know him. His laughter was contagious. He was sharp, funny, intelligent, a kind and generous soul and a loving friend. He will be deeply missed by his partner, friend and beloved husband Bruce, his cats, Boo and Bub, his sister Ruth Ann Grant, family including Duane and Patty Skoglund, Laurie and Mike Beaudet and Thomas Skoglund, several nieces and nephews and the many people who knew and loved him including his dear friends Midge and Scott. A celebration of Brad's life will be held at a later date.
