Obituary for Brian J Monaghan

Brian Joseph Monaghan, 67, of Plymouth (formally of Roslindale and Dorchester) died peacefully in his home with his loving family on the morning of July 27, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy (Marks) Monaghan, and their children Nicole Monaghan-Whittaker and her husband Bill Whittaker, Kelly Monaghan, and Amy Monaghan all of Plymouth. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Kaleigh, Wyatt, Brian, Acie, Sydney, Collin, Brian, and his great-granddaughter Avery. He was predeceased by his brothers Michael and William, and is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Miller, Elaine Bonfiglio, Christine Rocha, and Arlene Flaherty. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

He worked in the electrical industry for the majority of his life and was a true provider for his girls. His family was his entire world, not a decision made without them in mind. He was passionate about antique cars and spent many days cruising with loved ones and friends. He loved to sit by the ocean on the jetty at Plymouth’s waterfront.

Loved ones and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on August 1st, 2019 from 4-7. The burial will held at 11:00am on August 2nd, 2019 at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth.
