Claire Ruth (Major) Johnson , passed away on March 31st, in her sleep, after 90 years of a Life Well Lived . She was raised in Braintree, Ma. and married Robert Johnson of Quincy, days after he returned home as a wounded US Marine from Korea. They eventually made their home in So. Weymouth, raising their two sons.
She loved her extended family, all her puppies and dogs, playing the piano, knitting, sewing, and any craft that involved creatively using her hands. Family Boating, her membership at Old South Union Church and entertaining friends and relatives kept her happy and fulfilled for many years.
Claire and Bob were fortunate enough to build their dream retirement home on Cape Cod, Travel the World and enjoy the Blessings of 63 years of marriage. Claire is survived by Brother Bill Major and Family of Holden, Ma. and Sister Grace Stevens of Rockland, Ma., also Son Scott and his wife Kathleen of Yarmouthport, Ma., Son David in Carver, Ma. And Granddaughter Melissa of Providence , RI.
She was the Best Mom ever…
