Ackerman, Cynthia, (Cindy) 79, of Plymouth, formerly of Braintree, passed away on Thursday, November 26th, 2020. She was born in Weymouth, the daughter of the late Carol and Herbert Noren.
Cindy grew up in Braintree, graduating from Braintree High School. After graduating, she went to Lynn Nursing School, getting her nursing degree and then pursuing her career in the healthcare field. She met and married her first husband, Robert McDonough. They had one daughter, Andrea. When she started her family, she put her career on hold for many years to raise her family, going back into nursing once her daughter was older. Cindy spent many years in many areas of nursing, including; Braintree School Nurse, Crown Colony OB/GYN nursing and many more.
Cindy loved animals, she loved knitting, gardening, cooking, going to the beach, spending time with her grandkids and great grandson. Family was everything to her.
Cindy was the loving mother of Andrea Joyce of Plymouth. She was the devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren; Alison Joyce, Caitlin Joyce, Matthew Joyce and Ryan Joyce, all of Plymouth. She also leaves behind her great grandson Cameron Joyce of Plymouth. She is also survived by many family, friends and coworkers. She was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her brother Jon Noren.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 5th from 11am - 1 pm. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
