Obituary for Dane Philip Cotti
Dane Cotti died unexpectedly on September 6th in Plymouth, MA at the age of 72.
Son of Arthur and Eva Cotti, Dane was born September 28, 1948 in Plymouth where he lived his whole life. A truck driver for over forty years, Dane retired from Cape Cod Aggregates in 2016 after having run his own trucking company, Dane P. Cotti and Son Trucking for 30 years. Dane loved nothing more than his family, through the years he put his family before everything else. This passion for his family and to see his grandkids grow helped him battle through multiple bouts of cancer. Dane loved boating and spent as much time out on the family boat as he could. He relished in teaching his grandkids how to fish and spending time with the whole family out on Browns Bank where they could be found anytime the tides allowed.
Dane is survived by his wife of 48 years Catherine; his daughter and her husband Jillian and Andrew of Weymouth; his son Christopher, his wife Karen and their children Dylan and Eva of Middleboro; and his brother Allen and his wife Janet of Plymouth.
A service will be held Sunday, September 12th at Bartlett Funeral home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360, from 1-3P.M. with a short memorial beginning at 3:00. A luncheon for close friends and family will follow.
