Obituary for David William Siegel
David W. Siegel, 66, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Brewster, MA.
Survived by his wife of 36 years, Bonnie (O’Neill) Siegel of Hillsborough, NJ, three daughters: Katie Siegel of Miami, FL, Courtney (Siegel) Martinson and her husband, Jeremy, of Canterbury, NH, Kelsey Siegel of West Hartford, CT and his two grandchildren, Lana and Bode Martinson.
Born on September 24, 1955 in Hillside, NJ, Dave was the youngest of five siblings to Joseph (1932-2013) and Doris (Roberts) Siegel. In 1970, Dave relocated to Bridgewater, NJ with his family. He is predeceased by his eldest sister, Donna in 1998.
Dave was a Longshoreman at Port Newark (Local 1804-1) for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Freemasons brotherhood. When he wasn’t working, Dave was avid outdoorsman; hunting and fishing were some of his passions. He also loved music and classic cars. Spending his summers on Cape Cod with his wife, daughters and grandchildren brought him the most joy.
Dave was truly someone special. The energy always shifted when Dave walked into a room. He always brought a positive and happy energy-everyone loved being around him. His goofiness and quick wit was unmatched and could always make you laugh, even on your worst day.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Somerville Elks Lodge 375 Union Avenue Bridgewater, NJ 08807
