Obituary for Deborah Lynn Calvert (Harding)

Deborah Lynn Calvert, 73, died peacefully at Life Care Center of Plymouth, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 1st. Her final days were spent surrounded in love by her daughters and compassionate caregiving staff.


Deborah was born September 26, 1949, in Portsmouth, Maine, to (deceased) Alta (Ryder) Harding.


She attended North Quincy High School, and years later, continued her education in the field of interior design at Wentworth University. She worked at Fuller Design Associates in Boston, and later as a receptionist at Beth Israel Deaconess in Plymouth. She also served as a director for the Plymouth Center for the Arts.


Deborah enjoyed gardening, spoiling her beloved pets, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a talented painter, focused on the style of realism, giving the viewer a reflection of the real world.


Deborah was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth. She leaves daughter Nicole Manfredi and husband Marc of Plymouth; daughter Rebecca Fox and husband Jay of Plymouth; grandchildren Jake and Matthew Manfredi, Haley and Sophia Fox; sister Darlene Belair of Rancho Murieta, California; and faithful childhood friend, Donna Colbert of Plymouth.


Deborah did not want a memorial or services of any kind. In remembrance and honor, her family will gather privately to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deborah’s name can be made to the Dementia Society to further Lewy Body Dementia research efforts.
