Obituary for Diane Roberta Smith-Dickinson (Jackson)
Diane Smith, Dickinson, 76, of North Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Quincy, MA, the daughter of the late Phyllis (Asaro) and Harold Jackson.
Diane was raised in Quincy and graduated from Quincy. MA, class of 64. She immediately started her family after graduating, moving to Plymouth to raise her sons. Eventually, she went on to meet her soulmate and married him.
Diane loved seeing her family more than anything in life. She loved music and dancing. She and her husband loved traveling, especially to their beloved Jamaica, which they traveled to every year for 36 years. She loved spending time with her cat, her pets, eating out, going for drives with her husband, and just having a good time.
Diane leaves behind her beloved husband of 37 years, Kenneth. She also leaves behind her two sons; Gary (and Shannan) Smith of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Greg (and Zdenka) Smith of Plymouth, MA. She was the loving grandma of six grandchildren; Taylar, Courtney (and Scott), Gary II, Evan, Francis, and Samuel. She also was a great-grandma of four; Marley, Cobain, Annabelle, and Sophia. She is also survived by her siblings; Donald (and Teresa) Jackson, and Paul (and Diane) Jackson. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews; Amanda (and Billy), Bryan, Kevin (and Madeline), Craig, Scott, and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Sandra Ames, Robert Jackson, Kenneth Jackson, and Bruce Jackson.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral, Home, 338 Court St., Plymouth. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 21 from 5 to 6:30 with a memorial service at 6:30 at the funeral home.
