Gudrun Davis of Pembroke, MA passed away peacefully on her 60 th

Late Rupert and Katherina Schlegel. She is predeceased by her husband
Norman Davis, son Eric Davis and daughter Deborah Davis. She is

and great granddaughter Hazel McCullough Smith.

Gudrun was born in Bavaria, Germany, in a town called
Herzogenaurach, on November 5, 1941. She met her husband there while
he was serving in the United States Air Force, consequently moving their
family to California and then to Maryland before settling in Massachusetts
in 1978. Gudrun was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church of the
Cross of Hanover, which she began attending shortly after arriving in
Massachusetts. She was an exemplary Christian who believed in treating
others with kindness and doing good deeds each day, always with a bright
smile on her face.

Gudrun cared deeply for her family and instilled in them the values of
appreciating what you have, finding the beauty in everything and
approaching everyone you meet with warmth and compassion. When those
she loved were struggling, she lifted them up with encouraging words and
helping in any way she could. Gudrun loved nature and spent many hours
outdoors enjoying the beautiful aspects of each of the seasons in New
England, often remarking that she felt so lucky to live here. She will be
profoundly missed.

A wake will be held for friends and family from 4-6pm on Monday March 1, 2021
at the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, a service will be held at 10:30 AM the
Lutheran Church of the Cross, 77 Rockland Street, Hanover Ma 02339.
Gudrun will be laid to rest with her husband in the National Cemetery
in Bourne at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, because the national cemetery does not allow them,
please make a donation to the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Hanover
MA, or St. Josephs Indian School or your favorite charity in her name.
