Obituary for Guida Costa
Guida Tavares Costa, 85, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 26th, with both her daughters at her bedside.
Guida was born in St. Miguel, Portugal, Azores. She was married to the late Manuel J. Costa. They moved to North Plymouth, MA in Dec. 1970 with their two daughters to give then a better life. She worked at many factory jobs before retiring from the curtain factory on Standish Avenue in North Plymouth.
Guida leaves behind her daughter Fatima Garde and son-in-law Chris Garde of Caver, MA and her daughter Susete Callahan and Son-in-law Patrick Callahan of Bellingham, MA. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren Stephanie, Stacey, Andrew, Shane and a great granddaughter Madison as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind sister-in-laws and brother in laws and dear friends
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, August 31st from 4-6 pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Vine Hills Cemetery.
