Obituary for Jane Daryl Springer (Sturges)

Jane Daryl (Sturges) Springer, 78, of Dennis, MA and Estero, FL passed away peacefully in her
sleep in the arms of her husband of 26 years and true love, Anthony H. Coccio at their home in
Dennis, MA on August 3, 2023.

To say that Jane was a true and kind soul is a great understatement. Jane was an avid angler
and beachcomber. She was happiest in her small boat, her line reaching for the fish of the day.
She was a genuine marine educator, always taking the opportunity to teach small children about
the wonders of the ocean. She truly enjoyed sharing the beach, the bay, and all of its treasures
with everyone.

Jane was born in Cincinnati, OH. Her formative years were spent in Towaco, NJ. She attended
Albion College in MI and was an active member of Delta Zeta National Sorority. She raised her
family in Dudley, MA, always inching closer to her beloved Cape Cod.

The greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren: Lillian and Sarah Margolis of Rockland, MA,
Bailey Springer of Estero, FL; Molly and Ella Jane Springer of Dudley, MA; Anthony R. Coccio
of Everett, WA; Andrew Coccio of Auburn, MA; and Gabriela and Niko Coccio of Spring Hill, TN.

In addition to her husband Tony, Jane is survived by her daughter Julie (Springer) Margolis and
husband Scott of Rockland, MA; her son Ronald K. Springer of Dudley, MA; and sons Anthony
H. Jr and wife Amy Coccio of Auburn, MA and Mark and Ronda Coccio of Spring Hill, TN; her
precious 9 grandchildren; her loving 5 nieces and a nephew; 6 step-sisters and a step-brother; 7
grandnieces/nephews and countless friends.

Jane was predeceased by her parents Herbert D. Sturges and Lillian Sturges; sisters Linda
Sturges and Judith Sossel; and nephew David Sossel.

A celebration of life will be held at the Dennis Union Church, 713 Main St, Dennis, MA on
Saturday, August 19 at 11am with a livestream of the service at www.duchurch.org. Online
memorial at www.bartlett1620.com. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dennis Union Church, PO Box 2020, Dennis,
