Obituary

Janet “Babe” Torname Butts was born in Boston, MA on April 25, 1947 and left us way too early on March 3, 2020.

Babe is survived by her husband of 52 years John Butts, daughter Dina and partner Rob MacGregor of Plymouth, daughter Janet & husband Kevin Rush of Osterville, son Michael and partner Natalie Chochrek of Plymouth, daughter in law, Sarah Trainor of Plymouth. She is preceded in death by her late son, (Seany) John G Butts Jr.

Janet was the daughter of the late Louis and Jane Torname of Boston.

Babe was the beloved sister of Louis Torname and his sons Joseph and Justin Torname, beloved sister of Michael Torname, beloved sister of Marybeth Caturello and her husband, Dominick and their son, Domenic.
She is survived by her cherished grandchildren; John & Colin Rush, Michael, Brooks and Hannah Butts.

Babe, as everyone called her was truly one of a kind. If you had the pleasure of meeting her you instantly loved her wit and sense of humor. Babe loved her family with all of her heart, there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them. As a kid, she loved to visit her grandparents in the north end and spend her time with her aunts, uncle and cousins. As she got older and started her own family she still made time to bowl on Thursday nights with them and made sure we were always at Sunday dinner with her mom and siblings. Spending time with her own family was where she was the happiest. There was always something delicious cooking at Babes house no matter what time of day it was, she could whip something up in no time. She loved her husband, her kids, nieces and nephews, but her greatest joy with spending time with her granchildren. Ti Voglio Bene

Many memories (mostly good ones). Bowling on Thursday nights followed by game playing at my house until very late. Sorry we grew apart over the years, but the memories don't. Love to all of you (John, Dina, Janet, Michael)
