Janet was born on December 27,1942 in Boston Ma. Janet grew up in Boston and Weymouth
before moving to the Cape in 1997 to be close to her nieces.
Janet began her career at Trinity Neighborhood House in East Boston as an Assistant Group
Leader and In-house Program Coordinator. During the summers she was a camp counselor at
Trinity House Camp in Atkinson N.H. She made many everlasting friendships during her time at
Trinity House - Janet and her family were grateful to hear from so many during her last days.
Thank you.
Over the next 21 years Janet worked at Boston City Hospital as an Administrative Secretary in
the social services department.
Although Janet never married or had children of her own ,she provided a life of love , adventure
and tradition for her nieces Kerrie, Krystina, Kelli, Melissa and nephew Jesse. Janet continued
many of those adventures and traditions with her 7 great nieces and 3 nephews and 2 great
great nieces.
We have many memories of time spent with Janet. Watching Shirley Temple movies, wrapping
our hair in rags for curls, pulling up night crawlers at midnight under the streetlights,
neighborhood craft parties, banging pots and pans out the window New Years Eve, taking the T
to Boston, going to parades, visiting Castle Island, sleepovers, going to the park, shopping,
watching movies and there was always an endless supply of candy.
Janet had a love of the outdoors, photography, gardening, and bird watching. She was a great
seamstress and liked to gamble a little! Janet was like the energizer bunny. We all miss her.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
