Obituary

Jean O'Connor, 69, died on January 21 after a short battle with cancer.

Jean was born in Boston, MA, and grew up in Quincy, MA, where she attended Quincy High School and graduated from Immaculata in Washington DC. She later went on to earn a bachelors in psychology as well as a bachelors in sociology. Jean had an accomplished career in social work in Brockton where she raised her family with her husband Michael. Moving to Carver in 1991, where she continued to raise her family, work and eventually retire. Jean had a profound impact during her time as a social worker.

Jean most enjoy spending time with her family, trips to the ocean with her husband to watch the seals and Whales, long walks on the cranberry bogs in their backyard, trips up north for skiing and hiking, gardening, bird watching and baking. She was an adoring wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who always left a positive impact on those she loved with her generous nature.

Jean is survived by her husband, Michael of 40 years, her son Kevin Booth, and his wife Dawn of Barnstable, her daughter Heather Finlay, and her husband John of Plymouth, her daughter Holly Booth-Henderson, and her husband Mike of Plymouth, her son James O'Connor of Carver and her two Step -sons Michael and Christopher O'Connor of Dorchester. Jean is also survived by her brother William Sullivan and his wife Kathy of Marshfield, her brother Paul Sullivan and his wife Rosemary of Hingham, her sister Sr. Jean Sullivan of Dorchester and her loving grandchildren Madison Finlay, Kyle Booth, Brooke Finlay, Cayla Thomas and Kaylee, Keegan and Tess O'Connor.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Memorial services will be held to honor Jean on Sunday, January 30th at the funeral home. Funeral services to be held on Monday, January 31st, at 10 AM at Saint Bonaventure's church 803 State Rd., Plymouth, MA burial directly following at Bourne national cemetery.
