Obituary for Jeffrey Lane Mower

Jeffrey Mower of Centerville passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022. He was 66 years old.

Jeff was the son of the late Richard and Nora (Solak) Mower, formally of Andover, Massachusetts, and stepson to Marylin Mower of Harmony, Florida. Beloved husband to Lynne (Singleton) Mower for a wonderful 25 years. Loving father to Stephanie (Mower) Barry and husband John of Andover, MA, Jeremy Mower and wife Bridget of Sutton, MA, and Theodore Mower and wife Sarah of Charlestown, Rhode Island, loving stepfather to Jamie Rheaume of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tricia Rheaume and partner Brandin Andrews of Plainville, MA, and Michael Rheaume of Centerville, MA. Beloved grandfather to Kacee, Carynn, Brianna, Cameron, Michael, Mason, Charles, Samantha, Quinn and Sofia, and great-grandfather to Myla. Beloved brother to James Mower and wife Mary, Judy (Mower) Connors and husband John, and Joyce (Mower) Daniels and husband Rick. Fun loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Jeff graduated from Andover High School in 1973 after setting several records in track and field that would remain unbroken for years to come. He worked in numerous fields throughout his career and was known by all for his tireless work ethic. Together with his wife, Lynne, Jeff relocated to the Cape in 2001, where he enjoyed spending time at the beach and discovered a love for birdwatching and lighthouses. He could often be found watching his favorite New England sports teams with a cold beer in his hand, visiting regional craft fairs or attending the Newport Folk Festival. Jeff had a passion for helping others and, later in life, opened his own business by the name of Jiffy Jeff Handyman Services. To his family and friends, he was the one to call when something needed fixing, or when you wanted a good, home-cooked meal, or just a good friend to talk to.

At this time, a memorial service will be held at a later date with family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation, https://www.parkinson.org, or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, https://www.lbda.org.
