John “Jack” Henderson, 78, passed away on July 24 th after a year long battle with cancer.
Jack was born in Brockton Massachusetts on February 18 th 1944. He grew up in Whitman, Ma,
where he graduated. It was in High School that he found his love for all things mechanical. He
was frequently excused from class to come and fix the staffs typewriters and other small office
equipment. After graduation he continued this path and was employed by Monroe Systems for
Business, a manufacturer of typewriters and print wheels. While working for Monroe he met his
future wife of 54 years, Janice Buote of Marshfield. Together they bought a house in Marshfield
shortly after being married in 1968. Shortly after purchasing the house in Marshfield their first
child, Michele, was born, February 24 th 1969. A few years later they moved to Plymouth, where
they still make their home, and welcomed their second child, Michael, on May 24 th 1974. Jack’s
career eventually moved on to a new adventure, a much bigger adventure! This is where he
was able to combine two of his passions, fixing machines and travel, working for the company
American Science & Engineering. This opportunity allowed Jack to travel the globe installing and
repairing X-Ray machines in airports. His travels have taken him all around the world and often
was accompanied by his wife Janice. Their love of travel continued as recent as last September
when they were in Aruba surrounded by family.
Jack is survived by his wife Janice, son Michael and his wife Holly and stepson Kyle, daughter
Michele and husband Leon, and fur baby Cloey and Sister Gail Quaglieri and many Aunts, Uncles
and Cousins.
