Obituary for Joshua James Diamond

Joshua J. Diamond, 35, of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 11th 2021. Born December 30th 1985 in Brockton, MA, Diamond was a combat veteran, having deployed to Iraq in 2020. His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal with Combat Device, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, and the Army Parachutist Badge. Joshua is survived by his beloved girlfriend Flora Ketchum of Halifax, lifelong best friend Matthew Pollara and wife Daniella of Plymouth, Mother Francine Diamond and fiance Kevin Jordan of Plymouth, Father Jim Manning of Abington, Brother Shane Manning and wife Jessica Long of Wareham, Sister Bryanna Diamond of Plymouth, Brothers Daniel Almeida, Matthew Almeida and Jonathan Osondu and Lisa Crandall of Brockton. Josh is also survived by his God son Cameron Manning, nephew and niece Matthew and Tessa Pollara, Flora’s children Karlee and Sawyer as well as many other friends and relatives and the rest of his brothers and sisters in arms in the 82nd Airborne Division, 2nd Brigade, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 24th from 4-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 25th at 10am at Swift Memorial Church, 10 Williston Road, Sagamore Beach, MA 02562. Interment will immediately follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
