Obituary for Julia Ann Marshall (Foley)

Julia Ann Marshall (Foley) of Bourne passed away on October 6, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving
family after years of fighting illness.

Judy was born on August 28, 1945 in Boston. She grew up in Jamaica Plain and was a graduate of St.
Thomas Aquinas High School.

Throughout her life she held occupations ranging from a baker at Schrafft's in Boston to crossing guard,
and enjoyed volunteering her time to youth sports running concession stands. Above all else she loved
raising 6 children and being a loving wife to her husband of 55 years. Blessed with the gift of gab, she
made friends with many people who ultimately became extensions of her family.

Judy was a great mother, friend, therapist, comedian, and a true lady. She was beautiful, hardworking,
smart, silly, kind, strong, thoughtful, and like any Irish Catholic mother - a hot-headed, quick-witted,
tough, superstitious woman. Judy perfected the art of the one-liner and always had something funny to
say to put a smile on someone's face.

She was a woman of many interests - cooking, travelling, sports, music, comedy, and enjoyed a
competitive game of gin rummy coupled with a nice, strong spot of tea.

Judy is predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) and her brother Marty. She also leaves behind her
brother Eddie and six children: Kevin, Steven, Thomas, James, Robert W, Donna, and one grandson
Colin. In addition to family, she also leaves behind many friends both young and old who fell in love with
her warmth, humor, and unforgettable kindness - she was nice.

Services are under the care of Bartlett Funeral Home. Visitation will take place Wednesday, October 14, 2020 4pm-6pm at Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360.
