Obituary for Lamar Eugene Bullock

Lamar E. Bullock of Plymouth, MA, passed away on October 1, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Lamar was born in Hastings, MI and attended Western Michigan University and Michigan State University. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics in 1969. From 1963-1965, he worked for NASA at the George C. Marshall Spaceflight Center in Huntsville, AL and also served in the Air Force, stationed at Redstone Arsenal. He later worked at The Foxboro Company and was then manager of the Laser Products Group at Markem Corporation in Keene, NH. Following that time he became the President of Tachisto Laser Systems in Needham, MA and finally came to Plymouth and started his own company, Boston Laser Systems in Sagamore Beach, MA.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lucina. He also leaves behind his son Daniel and wife, Ann Bullock of Ringe, NH with granddaughters, Melissa, Kayla and Erica. He has a daughter, Kelly French of Nelson, NH and her four children, Marty, Megan Whitney, and Ryan. Also his daughter, Jennifer and husband Matt, along with their two boys, Graham and Miles, of Alameda, CA. He leaves a brother, Richard bullock and his two children, Rick and Debbie, of Houston, TX.

Lamar loved to be with family and was always happy to spend time with them, especially the new great grandchildren. When he retired, he spent much of his time working at Pine Hills Golf Club or on the course, enjoying a round of golf. He was also very involved with the Board at the condo association where he resided.

Donations can be made in his honor to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, for the wonderful and compassionate care he and his family received.

Arrangements are under the care of Bartlett Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Wednesday October 18, 2023 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Funeral Home, 338 Court St, Ptymouth, MA 02360
