Obituary for Linda J Murphy

Linda J. Murphy passed into the Loving Embrace of the Lord on April 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving children in Oak Ridge Tennessee. The Daughter of the Late Clayton and Jean Waterman, Linda was born May 11,1950 in Long Island New York. Linda attended Plymouth Carver High School. In 1968 Linda married the Love of her life the late Charles Murphy of Carver Massachusetts. Together they raised their four children. Linda was employed and retired from Tech Etch in Plymouth where she was employed as a metal stripper. Linda was a long-time member and Sunday School Teacher of the First Baptist Church, Plymouth. Linda was a Parishioner at Holy Ghost Church in Whitman and was part of the Vineyard Crossroads Church Family in Wareham. Her favorite verse was, 2 Corinthians 12 9-10 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Linda was a loving, caring person to all that had the pleasure of meeting her.
Linda has been reunited with her Late Parents, Late Husband Charles Sr, Late Brother John Waterman, and Late Daughter in Law Monique Murphy.
Linda is survived by Her Son Charles Murphy Jr and His Wife Michelle Murphy of Plymouth, MA. Her Son John Murphy and His Wife Christine Murphy of Plymouth, MA. Her Daughter Marilyn Kenward and Her Husband Robert Kenward of Brockton, MA. Her Son Michael Murphy and His Wife Katie Murphy of Oak Ridge TN.
“Nana” is survived and lovingly remembered by her 14 Grand Children: Chris Murphy, Joshua Murphy, Leah Murphy, Mariah Murphy, Nicholas Murphy, Kristen Kenward, Kaitlyn Kenward, Brendan Murphy, Payton Murphy, Abigail Kenward, Annalise Kenward, Joseph Kenward, Maddison Julian, and Kendra Murphy. “Nana” also is survived and lovingly remembered by Her 8 Great Grand Children, Kaidyn Murphy, Autumn Alexander, Nolan Murphy, Livia Murphy, Lilly Alexander, Owen Murphy, Lucas Murphy, and Benjamin Alexander.
Linda will be dearly missed by her surviving Sisters and Brothers, Cheryl Lynn Waterman, Wendy “Brat” Waterman, Steven Waterman, Clayton Waterman Jr, and Richard Waterman.
Her Loving Life will always be cherished by all Her Family that also includes Her many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Her Extended family The Koslowskis and The Zaleskis.
Christian Funeral Mass of Linda’s Life will be held Friday April 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 130 Main Street, Carver Massachusetts. Mass will start at 10:30 AM burial immediately following across the street in The Central Cemetery Carver. Due to the on going covid 19 mandates per the State of Massachusetts social distancing and masks must be worn. Space will be limited in the sanctuary and there will be a room set up for overflow. The family requests all show personal distance of affection due to the ongoing pandemic.
