Obituary for Lynne Dorothy Hunt (Jordan)
Loving wife, devoted mother and loyal friend, Lynne Hunt of Plymouth, passed on June 20, 2021 at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives spreading love and kindness.
She was born to the late James and Eleanor Jordan, February 3, 1944, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Lynne graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School in 1962. Lynne worked at a book bindery where she met her lifelong companion during her lunch breaks.
She was married to Harry Hunt in 1964 and they lived together in Burlington, MA for 15 years before relocating to Plymouth. Lynne is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years and two children: Steven Hunt of Plymouth and Darrin Hunt of North Reading. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Katelyn, Nathan, Travis, Rowan, and Elias.
First and foremost, Lynne was a dedicated mother who was proud of her family and treasured time with her children and especially embraced the role of Nana. She was a beautiful spirit who enjoyed time with family, bird watching, antiquing, and sunsets on the beach in Maine. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Lynne never wanted to be the center of attention, so her services will be private for immediate family members only.
