Obituary for Marisa C Fraser (Cacciapaglia)

“Angels have wings so they can fly from earth to the heavens.” Marisa Fraser, loving
wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was carried into the arms of God by the angels on
May 13th. Although she succumbed to brain cancer, her 59 years on earth touched the
lives of everyone she met. Her courage and valiant fight against the cancer in the final
year and half of her life, was a testament to her faith and the love she had for her family.
Despite every trial God set in her path she remained strong in her faith through it all.

Marisa found peace and joy in looking over the beaches of Maine, where she would
vacation every summer and in the fall and winter, she found happiness in the Willimantic
Mountains spending time with her family. At home, in Sandwich, a daily walk with
neighbors or family, allowed her to connect with those she loved, enriching the life of all
whom she shared time with. She was an excellent cook, loved to sail, swim, and adored
her loving dog Molly.

Most of all Marisa found the birth of the Word, in her soul, by reading her bible on a
daily basis. In this daily practice she became grounded in her faith, which blossomed
into the selfless, kind-hearted, woman of grace, loved by all.

Above all of this, she along with her beloved husband Bruce, were involved in every
moment of their children’s lives, pouring out compassion, love and understanding, a
reflection of God’s love for John and Juliette.

Marisa was born to Michael and Lorraine Cacciapaglia on June 28th, 1961 in
Attleboro, Massachusetts. After transferring from Acton Boxborough High, she
graduated from King Philip High School in Wrentham in 1979.

She moved to Cape Cod in 1980 and attended Cape Cod Community College, receiving
two associates degrees, one of which was in Paralegal which became her life-long
career.

She married her husband Bruce Fraser in 1997 and together they had two children;
John and Juliette.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce; her children, John and Juliette; her step-son,
Robert Fraser; her step-daughter, Melissa Lewis; her sisters, Gina Caccapaglia and
Lisa Nelson; her nieces and nephews, Colin and Allie Fraser, and Gabrielle, Rebecca,
and Garrett Nelson.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on June 23, 2021 at First Congregational
Church located in Falmouth MA. At that time an online live stream of the service will be
available through the church’s website.
