Mary Anne Hallissey 49, of Weymouth Mass passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer and related complications. Mary grew up in Plymouth graduating from Plymouth North High School class of 1990. After high school Mary worked at Macy’s and then United Airlines for many years where she was able to travel frequently.
Mary was a very caring, thoughtful, selfless person right to the end. Mary loved to spend summers renting cottages in Scituate and Marshfield to spend time at the beach with her long time boyfriend Tom Hannifan and her nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mary is pre deceased by her parents John and Mary Welchlin Hallissey. She leaves behind her brother John and his wife Heather, brother Robert and his wife Christy, and her sister Elizabeth Hallissey. Mary had several nieces and nephews; Evan, Sean, Megan, Brandon, Alyssa and Paige. Mary also has many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends that will deeply miss her.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. Calling hours will be from 9-10 am on Wednesday, April 7th at the funeral home. A Christian Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, 86 Court Street, Plymouth at 10:30 am on April 7th. Interment will immediately follow at Vine Hills Cemetery.
