Michael Foran (February 25, 1951 - November 6, 2023)
Michael Foran, of Quincy MA, died unexpectedly on November 6 th, 2023. Born and raised in Dorchester, MA, Michael was a lifelong resident of the great city of Boston. You would often find him patronizing small businesses, and visiting all the local establishments and community centers, his favorite being the Elks Club of Quincy. Michael’s life can be chronicled by the community he built along the way from his first friends in St. Peter’s Parish, to his work family at the Verizon Phone Company, to his Cove Way neighbors where he spent some of the best years of his life, making memories with his friends and family anywhere the sun was shining.
Most cherished by Michael was his daughter Jill. Considered his greatest achievement, he lived for their time together, always enjoying quiet moments and loud celebrations wherever they went. Mentioning Jill’s name never failed to bring a gleam to Michael’s eye and a smile to his lips.
Michael was a passionate supporter of all things Boston Sports. It didn’t matter what day, what game, what time, or what competitor he was always there to cheer them on, even those bums the Celtics (or whichever team was on the bottom of his list). He faithfully cheered on his teams from boyhood through manhood celebrating every Stanley Cup, World Series, Superbowl, and NBA Final.
Michael is survived by his daughter Jill of Denver, CO, Brother Jack Foran of Plymouth, MA, Brother Brian Foran and wife Robin Foran of Tewksbury, MA along with nephews and nieces, and their children. He is predeceased by his favorite sister, Patricia O’Rourke of Plymouth, MA.
