Michele G. Schmidt, beloved aunt and dearest friend, passed away at her home on July 26th 2022.  She
was 66 years old.  Born in Hartford CT, she worked many years in the Hartford school system. Having
fallen in love with Cape Cod, she made it her permanent home 26 years ago. She worked as office
manager for various businesses, including a building contractor, a medical equipment company, and a
hospice provider. Michele cared deeply over the years for the dogs that she rescued: Lady, Oscar, Benji,
Shelby and Pumkin. She loved butterflies and was happiest when her heart could fly free and easy like
them. Good food, good wine, and a competitive word game made her happy as did exploring the beauty
of the Cape.  Michele was a beautiful soul, and those who knew her best found a kind, generous, and
loyal person.  She will be missed and her memory will live on. To honor Michele's wishes, there will be
