Obituary for Norma Junta Ellis (Junta)

Norma Jane Junta Ellis, 58, of Plymouth, MA passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones at BIDMC Boston on Sunday March 1st, 2020. Her memorial service will be held this Saturday March 7th from 3-6pm at Bartlett Funeral Home on 338 Court St, Plymouth, MA 02360.

She was a beautiful Micmac Native American woman born and raised in Boston, MA to the late John Junta and Maryann Francis. She was widowed by her loving husband and the father to her five children, Joseph Ellis. They fell in love at a young age and started their family soon after. Norma was a homemaker, a devoted mother and loving grandmother who took pride in caring for her children and household. She had a passion for cooking and passed that onto her children. She adored her kids and grandkids and loved spending time with her large family and close friends.

She is survived by her five children: Anthony Ellis of Plymouth, Joseph Ellis and wife Jenna Ellis of Plymouth, John Ellis and wife Shannon Ellis of Attleboro, Amber Ellis of Fall River, and Andrew Ellis and wife Cerissa Ellis of Taunton, also her 14 grandkids: Kailee, Anthony Jr, Julliett, Olivia, Aiyana, Jaylynn, Sophia, Markus, Lilyann, Darious, Logan, Kellen Jr, Gianna, Andrew Jr, her first unborn great grandchild, due in March 2020, her three brothers: Peter Junta of Weymouth, Samuel Junta of Boston and John Junta of Yarmouth Nova Scotia as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was precedeased by her parents John Junta and Maryann Francis, her husband Joseph Ellis, 2 grandkids Ansale’wit (Angel) and Leon as well as her brother Jeffery Junta and sister Maryann Junta.
