Pamela Curtis Urann of Duxbury, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on April 22, 2021. She was born in Erie, PA, the daughter of Donald R. Curtis and the late Margaret Martin Curtis. She grew up in a close knit neighborhood on Lake Avenue and never forgot her roots. She was an honor student at Erie’s East High and graduated from Allegheny College in 1982. Always an adventurous spirit she moved to Tampa, Florida where she began a successful career in insurance. There she met her husband David, where they married in 1988. They moved to Duxbury, MA in 1996 where she was a loving mother, devoted wife, Scout leader and outdoor enthusiast. She loved to attend her children’s sporting events and take them on camping and sailing adventures throughout New England.
Pam instilled in her family a deep sense of empathy and compassion for others along with her love of people, travel and all things outdoors. She had a gift to find the good in everyone and everything and an abundance of love for her family and friends.
She leaves behind her husband of 32 years David Urann, and her three loving children, Kelsey W. Urann of Kingston, MA; Dr. Benjamin M. Urann and his wife Haley of Lyndonville, VT; and Marcus M. Urann IV of Jacksonville, FL. She also leaves her father Donald R. Curtis of Erie, PA; sisters Karen (Donald) Kalivoda of Erie, PA and Sandra (Marty) Hartman of Beaver PA and brothers Mark (Robin) Curtis of Erie, PA and Marcus Urann (Bambi) of Chiltonville, MA. She also leaves her Godson and nephew Timothy Kalivoda, nieces Kirstin Saunders, Jennifer Bohrer, Melissa Hilley, Katherine Urann and nephews Connor Hartman and Samuel Urann along with seven great nieces and nephews.
A private family service is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to care for the environment at Presque Isle Partnership, 301 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505 or to those that helped care for her at NVNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
