Obituary for Paulette Carol Waller (Mercier)

Paulette Carol Waller, 73, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away
January 1, 2021, at home with her family by her side. She was born to the late
Alfred and Jeanette Mercier, January 24, 1947, in Lawrence. Paulette graduated
from Sacred Heart High School and worked at the Internal Revenue Service in
Andover for the first half of her career. She later took on a new position with
Lincoln Labs at Hanscom Airfield where she worked for several years. After
Lincoln Labs, Paulette went on to a role at Prudential in Andover, and then
returned to the IRS where she worked until her retirement.

Paulette was married to her loving husband, Arthur Waller, for 34 years. She is
survived by Arthur, and four children: Scott McCarthy of Falmouth, MA, Ryan
McCarthy of Lowell, MA, Renee Geitner of Haverhill, MA and Lonie Waller of
Salem, NH; her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Rosemary Mercier of
Tyngsborough, MA, her sister-in-law and husband Jayne and Dr. Michael Fichera,
four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins,
as well as her many life-long friends from high school, her travels and her working
career. She was predeceased by her younger brother, John Mercier of Derry, NH.

Paulette enjoyed traveling, having visited England, France and Italy, and Paulette
and Arthur made annual trips to Florida, Las Vegas, Niagara Falls and Quebec.
They also visited Cape Cod frequently throughout the year. In addition to
traveling, she enjoyed spending time with friends while shopping, attending live
performances, dining out, enjoying the beach, and visiting casinos.

Paulette loved dogs, especially her sweet Welsh Terrier, Chloe, who was also by
her side when she passed.

Parkinson’s Research.

A celebration of Paulette’s life will be held at a later date.
