Obituary for Priscilla Lea Waterman (Hamblin)

Priscilla “Cilla” Lea Waterman aka Mom, Mum, Mimmy/Mim age 66 years transitioned peacefully and gracefully March 28, 2022 with her children and fiancé by her side after a sudden diagnosis and very brief illness of lung cancer.



She loved visiting New York City especially around Christmas time, spent many long weekends in Maine and on Martha’s Vineyard with her family and thoroughly enjoyed girl trips to an array of destinations. Cilla played softball in high school, was a die hard Red Sox fan, collected lots of memorabilia, enjoyed many games at Fenway and you could always find a baseball & glove in her car. She loved double dutch, spring, fall foliage, beach walks, skipping rocks, collecting shells and sea glass, laughing, hugs + kisses, finding “lulu” pennies, going on long car rides, bone cruises, obtaining her motorcycle license, driving her motorcycle and her prized teal blue Goldwing Trike, listening to oldies, Bob Segar and Bad Company, UTZ chips + potato sticks, mashed potatoes, extra well done cheeseburgers, and a dunkies medium iced mocha cream only were her favorites, the once a summer Nancy’s mudslide, dark chocolate, pumpkin everything, cigarettes, the perfume Ciara and the color red, bird watching - cardinals were her favorite, her collection of house plants, exploring old & new places, she liked walking graveyards, dipping in the spiritual realm & psychics, yard sales and thrifting were her thing, containers & thermos’s, people watching, researching her family lineage, making random noises and singing her responses, sitting down at the harbor, walks down the Grist Mill, wearing her favorite sunglasses, buying new sneakers, shoes & coats - only a few ever passed the few wear test, her worn in flip flops and red slippers, mystery shopping, Christmas Tree Shop & Christmas Loft shopping, sledding, skating, and sleighrides, she loved watching it snow like life in a snowglobe, bowling, crocheting, crafting, crosswords & word searches, putting together puzzles, online solitaire, Maine rummy, reading romance novels and she really enjoyed watching “her” television shows especially The Curse of Oak Island, Impractical Jokers, and HGTV.



Her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren anywhere and everywhere doing anything and everything. She just loved being with them and that they wanted to be with her. She had a special relationship with each and every one of them.



Priscilla was a recent retiree from Walmart Plymouth as a Product Inventory Supervisor, a parking attendant down by the waterfront in the warmer months, and a well respected and loved Elder Fire Tender in her daughter’s Sacred Sisterhood Circles. She liked arriving anywhere 15 minutes early, waking up early and keeping busy.



She was predeparted by her husband, John Waterman Sr, along with her Mother, Doris Hamblin (Curtain) and Father, Carlton Hamblin all of Plymouth. She leaves a fiancé, Dennis Plante of Plymouth, 3 grown children; John Waterman Jr and his girlfriend Marlene Buckley of Plymouth, daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Waterman) Prescott of Weymouth, Stacey Forend and her husband Joshua Forend of Martha’s Vineyard & Maine, Shane Waterman and his fiancé Joselyn “Josie” Lebron of Nashua, NH/Methuen, MA along with 2 grandchildren; Joshua Forend Jr (her booboo), Skylah Forend (her lulu) and her Fiancé Ron Miske, their son Huxley Miske, a grandpup Reginald Sage Miske and grandcat Bruin “Beez” Forend all of Martha’s Vineyard. A child of 10 she was predeceased by her sister + PIC Betty Carpenter (Hamblin) and leaves 8 siblings; Donna, “her sister + PIC” Etta, Barbie, Judy, Johnny and his wife Susan, Sonny, Danny, and Mark and his wife Angela, upwards of 100+ nieces and nephews, her beloved Aunnie Judy & Uncle Dickie, a few Aunts and Uncles and many cousins along with brother and sister-in-law’s; Clayton & Donna, Steven, Richard, Cheryl, and Wendy and predeparted Linda.



She is loved greatly and greatly missed - a selfless woman with a huge giving heart. She lived a full life and lived it well!



A private celebration of life was held on April 3rd. In leu of flowers please consider gifting yourself and/or a loved one a new house plant or planting a tree in her honor.
