Obituary for Rachel Lynn Haddad (Reichert)

Rachel Lynn (Reichert) Haddad, 44, of Quincy, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021.

She was born in Weymouth on October 14, 1976 to Victor and the late Nancy (Harrington) Haddad. She was raised in Quincy and later moved to Duxbury where she graduated from Marshfield High School. She attended Cape Cod Community College to get her Dental Hygiene Degree. She was a member of the 399 th Combat Support Hospital, Army Reserves medical unit and was deployed to Kosovo on March 17, 2001. She not only performed her military responsibilities there, but also provided dental hygiene services to civilian families who would not have had any otherwise. Even after her honorable discharge, she continued to be an active Veteran, spending time at the VA helping her fellow brothers and sisters. She would make them socks, mittens, hats, and blankets all while lending an ear or a shoulder. Her empathy will be truly missed.

She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, playing backgammon, watching movies, nature hikes, walking in the woods (and getting lost!), and enjoying every thunderstorm (like her mother and father always did!). She loved being surrounded by her children, family, and friends, making people laugh, but most of all she loved BEING A MOM! She was always the happiest when her children were with her. She will be remembered for her smile, laugh, amazingly witty sense of humor, courage, honesty, persistence, generosity, strength, and the way she always chose one person to spoil at Christmas time (if you were lucky enough for it to be you on any given year, then you know!).

She will be forever loved and missed by her children Ryan Reichert, Emilee and Jennifer Kaiser, her father Victor, her siblings Justin & Deana (Day), Corey and Jill, her nephews/nieces Benjamin, Jameson, Goddaughter Heather, Charlene, and Kaleb, her boyfriend Tony Fernandes, as well as her enormous extended family and friends.

A wake will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 550 Washington Street in Quincy, MA, from 8:30-9:30am. After which a 10am Funeral Mass will be held. Following the Mass, there will be a military burial at 12:30pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery on Connery Ave in Buzzards Bay, MA. We welcome everyone to please feel free to come to one, two or all three events to Honor Rachel.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Rachel's memory to the Edwina Martin House, 678 N. Main St., Brockton MA 02301
