Obituary for Rhonda Vickery (Overton)
Rhonda Anne Marie Vickery, 63, of Pembroke, MA, passed away peacefully on January 21st, 2021. Rhonda was born on November 15th, 1957 in Concord, MA to the late Peter & Astrid Overton. She was a graduate of Hingham High School and married the love of her life, Michael Richard Vickery on August 19th 1979. They raised 3 children, Nicole, Jeffrey and Ryan and she was the most proud Nana of 8 grandchildren.
Rhonda was a dedicated employee at New England Villages for over 22 years and often spoke fondly of the many residents she came to know and love throughout the years. Family was her top priority in life. She loved them all fiercely and had so many special ways of showing it. She enjoyed time spent with her family, getaways to her campground in Maine and cruises to Bermuda. She will be fondly remembered by her love notes, monday morning texts, caring nature, silly humor and affinity for tea and napkins.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Astrid Overton, her father Peter William Overton and her beloved daughter, Nicole Marie Brooks. She is survived by her husband of 41 years; Michael Richard Vickery of Pembroke, her sons Jeffrey M. and his wife Amy of Pembroke, Ryan P. of Boston, James Brooks and his wife Jill of Marshfield, grandchildren, Jakob, Lucas, Zachary, Justice, Ava, Mackenzie, Anya and Sawyer, her mother Audrey Nicholson of Worcester, her siblings, Karen Keen and her husband Scott of Dunnellon, FLA, Fiona Vessio and her husband Paul of Leicester, Deborah Pressey and her husband Greg of Rutland, Barry Overton of Worcester, Tara Blodgett and her husband PJ of Worcester, and several dearly loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021 from 6:00-8:30 pm. COVID regulations will be enforced. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers it was important to Rhonda that donations be made to the Hope Floats Healing & Wellness Center @ 4 Elm. St Kingston, MA 02364.,
