Obituary for Robert J Jannoni

Robert Joseph Jannoni of Carver, MA, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at home.
Robert was born on March 25, 1934 in Belmont, MA. Son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Cabral)
Jannoni. Brother of William Jannoni, and the late Anna Whittington. He graduated from Belmont High
School in 1953. He worked for Ford Trucking in Belmont and was the proud owner of the Brick oven
Restaurant in Waverly Square, Belmont, and worked as a Lead Chef for Sky Chefs of American Airlines
for many years. He was also a dedicated volunteer of the Waltham Hot Line for Substance Abuse of
Waltham Hospital.

In his retirement, he co-wrote the book: Solved: The Mystery of the General Arnold with Lenny Cavallaro
and Lou Cook. An experienced chef, his family will remember his special pasta sauce and his “carciofos”,
(stuffed artichokes).

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Jannoni. Lifelong friend to Ralph Bonfilio, his children
Gerry Martin, (Gordon), Dawn Kelly, (Brendan), AnnMarie Tanzella, (Stephen)
Grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie and Christopher Kelly, Jennifer Gauthier, Jessica Heno, Johnathan
Martin, Gina Maffei. Great Grandchildren: Mia, Ashley, Shannon, Elizabeth, and Paul Kelly, Dylan, Nolan,
Benjamin and Jocelyn Gauthier, Scarlett, Esme and Cora Heno, and several nieces and nephews. He is
predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth Jannoni, and great granddaughter Evelyn Gauthier.

Services will be private.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle,
Plymouth, MA 02360.
