Obituary for Robert E Loring

Robert E. Loring (Bobby), a resident of Carver for fifteen years passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023
surrounded by his loving children Mark E. Loring of Plymouth, Kevin A. Loring of Carver, and Lynn E.
Loring of Kingston.

Bobby served in the U.S. Army in the 10 th Mountain Infantry Division and worked for the U.S. Postal
Service within the Business Mail Department in Brockton for thirty-three-years.
After his retirement Bobby became a Master Mason serving as the Past Patron of Plymouth Chapter 164
of Eastern Star. He was involved as a HAM/Army MARS operator facilitating communications around the
world partnering with numerous local agencies.

Bobby enjoyed music and was a member of a local chorus group for several years. He enjoyed travelling
visiting all 48 continental states. He was fluent in several languages and thoroughly enjoyed exploring
and experiencing cultures and beliefs. Leading by example he always placed others before himself with
his unwavering, kind, and generous nature.

Bobby is proceeded in death by his mother, Lillian Rosalie (Brown) Loring of Holbook and his brother
Ronald M. Loring of Tampla, Fl. In addition to his children, he is survived by eight grandchildren, twelve
great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Bobby’s burial will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. A celebration of life will
be held on what would have been his 88 th birthday on July 16, 2023. His family will share more
information on this celebration in the coming weeks.

As an avid lover and advocate of animals, in lieu of flowers Bobby’s wish were for donations to be made
