Obituary for Royal Irving Bryant Sr.
Royal "Sonny" Bryant, passed away peacefully on January, 16, 2023, with his two daughters at his side.
He was born March 31, 1930 in Plymouth MA, to the late William C and Bertha (Nickerson) Bryant. He was educated in the Plymouth School Systems and worked as a laborer in the Local 721.
Sonny is survived by his daughters, Dianna Bryant Sisson of Plymouth and Michelle (Shelly) Bryant Gajdos of Lakeville, as well as 22 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews from New Hampshire as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Sonny was preceded in death by his 10 siblings, as well as his children, Terrie Bryant, Robert Bryant, Sharon Bryant Shea, Royal Sonny Bryant, Jr and William Bryant.
Sonny was a member of many clubs around town, including the Cold Spring, Seaside, Garibaldi, Hilltop & the Cristoforo Colombo Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends and playing Bocce. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed singing and playing guitar. In his early days he played Intramural Basketball at the Boys Club of Plymouth and also played semi-pro football for the Plymouth Rockets.
Most of all, he enjoyed just being with his family.
Services are under the care of The Bartlett Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12pm-2pm at the Funeral Home, 338 Court St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
