Obituary for Sally Mary D'Souza

Sally D’Souza, 78, passed away peacefully July 3, 2023, after a long illness.

She was born October 3, 1944, in Worcester, MA to Roy and Mary (Klimazewski) Larson. She grew up in Worcester, MA, and attended North High School in Worcester. She graduated from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. While a nurse at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester. She met the love of her life, Dr. Aloysius D’Souza, and they married in April of 1969.

After moving to North Dakota, Oregon, Japan, and Missouri to pursue various positions in Al’s surgical career, they settled closer to family in Plymouth, MA with their three children Dianna (“Dodie”), Matthew, and Andrew. Throughout her life, taking care of others is what made her happiest. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she was a proud nurse and excelled at taking care of patients as well as running Al’s medical practice. She was the most caring mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor. She was adored by everyone around her. Everyone who knew Sally knew her hands were never still and she never rested. She loved to keep busy - cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, entertaining, gardening, skiing, traveling, taking photos, and doting on her husband, kids, and grandkids. She did it all with care, love, and perfection.

Sally is preceded in death by her brother Paul; she is survived by her husband Aloysius, her brother Paul’s wife Phyllis, her brother Peter and wife Kathy and sister Fay and husband Jimmy, her daughter Dodie and her husband Paul, her son Matthew and his wife Sarah, and her son Andrew and his wife Caitlin, her grandchildren Sadie, Margaret, Grace, Wolfe, Leo, and Jack and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 8 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church, 86 Court Street in Plymouth at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow the mass at Vine Hills Cemetery, Samoset St, Plymouth, MA.
