Obituary for Sally D Risner

Sally Dawn Risner, 78 of Plymouth passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 12th in her home after a brave battle with cancer.

Sally was born September 21 1943 in Gloversville NY to Roy and Marguriete Ward. Sally often spoke of how wonderful her childhood was growing up in Upstate NY. Many family memories were made in Hope NY at Camp “Hide Away”. Forever Wild.

Sally was preceded in death by her sister Pat Sadlier, and by her husband of 44 years, Bob.

Sally is survived by her son Bob Urichuk and his wife Janice of Plymouth, Susan Rossi and her husband David of Stoneham, Jennifer Trapeno and her husband Brian of Bridgewater, Linda Broughton of Plymouth, and her stepson Rob Christine and his wife Diana of NY. Sally is survived by her beloved grandchildren Jazmin, Dylan, Megan, Cortney, Harper and Morgan. And many great grandchildren as well.

Sally and Bob’s love story is one of the greatest, and most beautiful of all time. They laughed, loved, and genuinely adored each other.

To know Sally was to love her. She had an amazing sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. The circle of friends that Sally and Bob shared were like family to them. Friendships that meant everything to them. Every winter Sally and Bob spent time with their “Freeport Family” in the Bahamas. They truly lived their best life together.

Sally was a true patriot and loved politics. In her final request, she stated,’ When I die, please don’t let me vote democrat’. She loved her politics and she had a sense of humor up until the end!

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 16th from 12:30-1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of Sally’s favorite non-profit organizations, Luke’s Wings.
