Obituary for Scott Matthew Ramsey

Scott Matthew Ramsey known as "Scooter" to family and friends, passed away on September 17th, 2022 at the age of 55.

Scott was originally from Pembroke before moving to Plymouth Massachusetts.  Scott was talented in many areas of carpentry, a keen renovator, and a painter of art.  He took great pride and interest in preserving, refinishing, and restoring.

Scott was genuine.   He was a tenacious man – someone who did whatever was required to accomplish his goals.  The man proved so many people wrong and fought so many battles trying to help everyone along the way.  Those moments he spent with others were important and treasured to him. He did not act lazy or vainly; he kept going even when he was sick or hurt, and nothing stopped him. There was never a day that he did not move and fix, our house was never still.  Every task he completed was done with a considerable deal of hard work and intelligence.  A great man's dreams and actions are an index of his significance.  He had a lot of bright plans in mind.

Being around him was a great way to be happy, he had such a fun spirit.   He would light up the room as soon as he walked in; he always made it known when he was there.  His adventurous nature made him always eager to find something fun to do.  You were never bored when we went exploring.  As a father, he was caring, giving and just the kind of person you would want as a best friend.

He is survived by his children, Tyler and Hailey Ramsey, and stepchildren Matthew Reardon, Andrew Pendexter of Plymouth his Mother Miriam Drysdale and her husband Kenneth Drysdale of Rockland, brother George Ramsey and sister-in-law Nancy Ramsey of Pembroke, Bryan Ramsey of Marshfield Massachusetts along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his partner Brenda Lynn Pendexter, his Father Bryan Thomas Ramsey of Pembroke, Massachusetts, and his brother Robert Anthony Ramsey AKA "Rambo" of Wareham, Massachusetts.

Scott made sure every person in his life knew how much he loved them and those who knew him will remember his contagious smile, kindness, and unselfish generosity as he was one of a kind ~ heaven has gained a new angel.

Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30th from 5-7 pm. Interment will be private.
