Obituary for Silvia Cali
On Friday, June 17, 2022, Silvia Cali, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Silvia was born on November 9, 1948 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Beatriz Lina Gilabert and Fernando Cortes. After immigrating to the United States in her twenties, she met her husband of forty-seven glorious years in 1973 on a blind date arranged by mutual friends.
Silvia was a beautiful woman with a great sense of humor. Nothing made her happier than caring for her family and friends. Silvia loved the beach, nature, and animals. She also had a talent for interior decorating, cooking, fashion, and gardening. She previously worked as a dental assistant and an office manager for many years.
Silvia was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Fernando, as well as both of her parents. She is survived by her husband Tony, her two children, Mare of Abington, MA, Chris and his wife Abby of Wilton, CT, and her three grandchildren Benjamin, Thomas, and Mia. She is also survived by her half siblings “Kitty”, Carolina, Fernando and Alejandro, sister-in-law Grace Ann and brother-in-law Frank Senofonte, niece Maria Fernanda Cortes and nephews Mark, Todd and Scott Senofonte.
