I feel so lucky that I got to work closely with Stan while advising the GSA, working on the Diversity Committee, and participating in his Passover seders during my time at Williston. He was kind and honest and passionate. He had the highest respect for students and did not underestimate their capabilities. My sincerest condolences to his family. Stan will be greatly missed.

Words seem so inadequate to our grief. I taught with Stan for decades and loved him. He was a great big bear of a man...a teddy bear as it turned out. He was soft and cuddly and always there when you needed a friend or a helping hand. Goodbye, dear friend.

I had Stan as a math teacher in 2013. He was wise, kind, and a joy to have as an instructor. On our last day of class he took us all to Tandem bagles for a treat. It saddens me deeply to know that a good man is gone, but I will be forever grateful for having known him. My condolences to the Samuelson family.

Stan was my dorm parent my freshman year. That year can be so challenging for kids because we are so young and I was so far from my family. Stan always made me feel like he was there for me. I cried a lot and he was always there to listen. I’ll remember his wooden bow tie, he always greeted me with a smile and a hug. Even when I gave him so much trouble. He was one of the kindest people I have met. He will be deeply missed. Sending love to his family.

Samuelson family, I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Stan. I was lucky enough to have him as a teacher at Williston and he quickly became a favorite. His positive attitude and humor turned around any bad day and I looked forward to seeing him daily. He was kind, generous and a phenomenal person. I am so grateful to have known him and send so much love and healing to his loved ones. The world is a little less bright by this loss but I know his legacy will live on.
