Obituary for Terry Andrew Sokoli
Terry Andrew Sokoli died peacefully at home on December 31, 2018 surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on October 10, 1943 in Waterbury, CT to Andrew and Emma (Pudem) Sokoli. He lived in Naugatuck, CT for 68 years before moving to Cape Cod in 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years June (Lompert) Sokoli, daughter Mary and husband Ed Figueroa, daughter Kathleen and husband Corey Lewis, sister Laurie and husband George Zitzmann, and grandsons Michael, Nicholas, Maxwell and Zachary.
Terry graduated from Naugatuck High School, Class of 1961 and attended Dean College. He worked for 38 years for the Uniroyal Chemical Division. He was a devoted UCONN, Patriots and Red Sox sports fan.
Terry was also an avid animal lover and in lieu of flowers, the family has requested that everyone visit their local animal shelter and donate food, blankets, etc. in Terry’s memory.
There will be no calling hours. A “Celebration of Life” gathering for family and friends of this wonderful husband, brother, father and “Pop” will be held in April.
