Thomas Francis Collins died at 10:37 P.M. on July 27, 2022 at Cape Cod Hospital as a result of
metastatic prostate cancer. Tom was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009. He was 70
years old. Tom was raised in Jamaica Plain and relocated to Sandwich in 1986.

Tom will remain in the hearts of his devoted spouse of 42 years, Patricia (Lewando) Collins, his
beloved son Jesse, his adored daughter June Lin, her fiancé, Sean D’Ambrosia and their beautiful
children, Jasmine and Eric D’Ambrosia. (Dear Jesse and June, Dad was very proud of you both.)
He is held close by his sister, M. Patricia (Pato) Potter and her partner, Michael Ferreira; his
sister-in-law, Louise B. Collins; and, many nieces, nephews and grandnieces.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, the Honorable John F. and Mary P. Collins, his sister,
Margaret A. Collins and his brother John F. Collins Jr.

Tom was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in various departments, most
recently the Office of the State Auditor. After his retirement from the Commonwealth, Tom
worked at Mahoney’s Garden Center in Falmouth. He often said that he loved the work and the
camaraderie at Mahoney’s.

Tom’s happiest moments were spent on Racing Beach in Falmouth with family and friends. He
was a good man. The world has lost a kind and humble soul. Tom was loved and respected by
anyone who was fortunate enough to know him

Per Tom’s request, services will be private. Cremation services were provided by the Bartlett
Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360. A Memorial Gathering will be held on
the Cape in the Fall.
